Bush and Hoover
Does Bush just love being connected to Hoover? He is going to be the first President since Hoover to have a net loss of jobs during his administration and now he is the first since Hoover to not attend a NAACP convention during his term as President. I guess it is fitting that these two terrible Presidents be forever linked.

I believe this is an unfair comparison. To be sure, Hoover's administration failed to deal with the great depression effectively. However, Herbert Hoover otherwise was a distinguished public servant who before and after his presidency performed many good works very succesfully. By contrast, prior to his presidency, Bush was a dilettante who ran several businesses into the ground before becoming governor of Texas and running the state into the ground. We'll have to wait until January (if not sooner) to begin to see how his post-presidential career will turn out.
Sorry did not mean to bring Hoover down to Bush's level.
