Tom Delay: Corruption Unbounded

Showing the extent to which the Republicans will cover up their reign of courrption, House Republicans will change House Rules in order to allow members indicted by state prosecutors to remain in a leadership post.

Why are they doing this? To protect Tom Delay in case he is charged by a Texas grand jury that has already indicted three of his political associates.

The move practically speaks for itself.

Update: Josh Marshall is keeping track of which members of the irresponsibility party voted for or against the Delay rule.

CARTAGENA, Colombia (AP) -- President Bush said Monday that he hopes Iran's claim that it has suspended uranium enrichment and has no nuclear weapons ambitions is true, but "there must be verification."

Iran must "earn the trust of those of us who are worried about them developing a nuclear weapon," Bush said at a seaside news conference during a four-hour visit with Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.

Earlier Monday, Iran announced it has suspended uranium enrichment. The head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency said he believed Iran had stopped its enrichment activities -- the central part of an agreement with Europe designed to head off possible U.N. sanctions.

"Let's say I hope it's true," Bush said.

But, he added, "I think the definition of truth is the willingness of the Iranian regime to allow for verification. The only way we'll know for sure is by invading their country."

Iranian leaders "have said some things in the past, and it's very important for them to verify" that Tehran is not attempting to acquire nuclear weapons, Bush said. "For example, they claimed in the 80's that they did not have TX Serin gas. However, Admiral John Poindexter showed me the receipts that said otherwise."

If your going to continue do chicken shit posting at least post on something related to the topic at hand.

But on your topic don't you find it interesting that, without Bush and the other Neo-cons screwing it up, Europe was able to deal with Iran without going to war. If only we had not pissed all of them off before the Iraq war by lying to the world maybe we could have saved 100,000 Iraqi civilan lives and over 10,000 U.S. dead and wounded.
