Left Wing Christian Bashing????

Now, a response from the Center of the Political Spectrum

I certainly condemn the violence perpetrated against this individual. I agree with the blogger that this violence is completely un-Christian. The perpetrators should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

But I also condemn this posting for its negative jab at an entire religion.

This blog should be fair and open minded towards all people - regardless of faith and regardless of political ideology. I don't believe its fair or open minded to jab at an entire religion for the actions of a few individuals who may or may not even be Christian. Their actions certainly aren't Christian-like.

I think this country should be more accepting of people not less accepting. I think, generally speaking, that many individuals in the left wing of this country believe in this statement. The exception is when it comes to religion. For some reason, it is ok to bash Christians. In my view, this is just a sign of close-mindedness.

Similarly, I believe many in the far-right community hold nasty views towards certain groups. I also think this is a sign of close-mindedness.

This blog, and the political spectrum would be better off if we all could be more accepting of people.

I think my views can best be summed-up by these lyrics from a classic 1985 hit:

"We are the world, we are the children. We are the ones who make a brighter day so let's start giving. There's a choice we're making. We're saving our own lives. It's true we'll make a better day. Just you and me!!!

I'll admit that the original title of the post was poorly written. It has been restyled to more properly focus its disapprobation.
