The Two Americas of John Edwards

Remember the 2004 campaign when then Senator John Edwards repeatedly talked about how there are two Americas - rich and poor. And, then he talked about how he was going to help the poor. While I don't support leaders in America trying to divide us, I had admired Mr. Edwards passion to help those less fortunate.

Well, that was then - you know - before he Mr. Edwards had a $5.2 million home to sell here in Washington, D.C. Now, I guess it is ok for rich people to profit a tidy sum from the sale of the house and make those profits from individuals who are the focus of legal complaints from the same labor unions Edwards courts. Robbing the rich to pay the poor is one thing. But, being rich, befriending the poor, going to bed with the rich, and then pocketing it all for personal gain is another story.

Mr. Edwards - perhaps we shouldn't talk about two America's anymore, but rather, two faces.

I concur; moreover, Edwards is not only an elitist who attempts to appear as a man of the average joe but is one of the most self absorbed politicians in America. While you might think that Edwards is consumed by wealth, you should guess again. The end all be all for Edwards is his appearance, in particular his hair. Check out this you tube piece if you doubt this claim.
